Mango announces Kate Moss is their girl for Spring!

Decked out in pieces from their Spring/Summer 2012 collection, Kate Moss posed for photographers as the new face of Spanish retailer Mango at their flagship store on famed Oxford Street on Tuesday, January 24th, 2012 in London, England. Moss is now a member of an exclusive club of beauties who have fronted the brand including Scarlett Johansson, Penelope Cruz and sister Monica (who also created a popular capsule collection), Oliva Palermo, and Claudia Schiffer.

‘I’m really excited to be working with Mango for spring/summer 2012, we had a great time shooting the campaign, the team are so easy to work with and shooting with Terry is always fun, Moss said in a statement.”

Kate is of course talking about famed fashion photographer Terry Richards, the man who helped transform her into a true Mango girl in the ad campaigns.

When you think of one of the people on the planet whose closet you envy the most, Kate Moss is right at the top of most women’s lists! The British beauty, who celebrated her 38th birthday alongside husband Jamie Hince and bff Stella McCartney on Monday, was spotted wearing a fabulous leopard print coat in north London, UK on January 18, 2012.

This fabulous look must have cost the famous supermodel tons of dough, but you can replicate it for under $100! We found this similar coat at Urban Outfitters (which just so happens to be faux fur!) for only $99.

The best part about it, aside from the affordable price, is that its also machine washable! So if it gets a bit of rain or snow on it, it can be back to fab in no time.

Kate Moss splits from Topshop

Kate Moss and British retailer Topshop are going through a break up. The model made the announcement that she will no longer be a designer for the brand after a 3-year partnership.

Kate’s collection for Topshop is very well known and acclaimed. The label’s boss, Philip Green, went on the record to counter any rumors that there was a rift between Kate and the label. According to Green:

Supermodel Kate Moss knows a good find when she gets one! She received a pair of jeans from Rolling Stone guitarist Keith
Richards and refuses to get rid of them.

She said: “Do I ever throw out clothes? Definitely not! I’ve got classics.
“Keith Richards gave me a pair of black jeans he bought in Brazil in 1969 and I still wear them – they fit me perfectly.

Want a piece of Kate Moss? Banksy’s selling…

Six prints of model Kate Moss by artist Banksy are expected to fetch up to £150,000 at auction later.

The works, inspired by Andy Warhol’s iconic image of Marilyn Monroe, are among 78 lots being sold in London.

The screen prints were produced in a limited run of 20 sets, but because most were sold individually, complete sets are scarce.

Although some Banksy prints failed to sell earlier this year, I guess they’re giving it another shot. Lots of his work seems to be up for sale, but due to the global economy, auctions like this are failing to sell many items. For someone who has hidden their identity for so many years, much of his work is being seems to be connecting with mainstream art collectors. Would this be considered selling out? If you read his website, it’s not the sort of thing you think he’d be into.
