Is Katy Perry feeling blue after Russell Brand split?

I remember it like it was only last year when Katy Perry was rockin’ some fun shades of pink in her hair. But ever since the announcement of her split with husband Russell Brand, Katy has changed up her look to feature a head full of blue hair.

This is the first time Katy has been photographed by paparazzi since British comedian Brand announced he was filing for divorce in December 2011. She was shot at LAX airport in Los Angeles, California on Monday, January 16th, 2012 as she caught a flight out to Singapore with her entourage.

Her stylist spoke to US Magazine explaining the new ‘do has nothing to do with the break-up.

“Katy wanted to go this particular color blue for a few weeks now.”

The 27-year-old looked beautiful in a patterned mini dress and grey heels. In an attempt to conceal her identity, Katy wore a floppy black hat and superstar sunglasses.

Ex Russell Brand was recently spotted in La La Land, where he was rumored to be meeting with Katy to finalize divorce plans. No word if that ever happened.

Russell Brand confirms split from Katy Perry

They spent the holidays 7,000 miles apart and had the gossip papers speculating that the end was near. Now, comedian Russell Brand is confirming that he and wife of 14 months Katy Perry are dunzo. The Forgetting Sarah Marshall star filed divorce papers in Los Angeles Superior Court on Friday citing irreconcilable differences.

“Sadly, Katy and I are ending our marriage. I’ll always adore her and I know we’ll remain friends, Russell told CNN in a statement”

I must say….I really liked these two together at first. They really seemed to be well suited but after awhile it became so annoying the way they tried to prove to the world they were the perfect couple and how in love they were.

Most people, I dare say, have been expecting this moment at any time. It just got to a point where it all seemed so fake.

Don’t get me wrong, I really like both Russell and Katy as individuals but I doubt they’ve been truly happy in a long time!

Katy has yet to release her statement.

Katy Perry purrs in pink to promote Meow! by Katy Perry

Katy Perry rocked an adorable new ‘do during a press conference she hosted to unveil her newest fragrance, Meow! by Katy Perry. Joined by Extra! host Mario Lopez, Perry posed for photographers before meeting eager fans at The Grove earlier today (December 14th, 2011) in Los Angeles, California.

The fun and sensual fragrance is available exclusively at Nordstrom stores nationwide and Nordstrom.com in 1.7 and 3.4 oz bottles at a suggested retail price of $45 and $65, respectively. “Meow! by Katy Perry” is a companion piece to the recording artist’s first fragrance, “Purr,” which debuted a year ago.

This is Katy’s second perfume and its currently available for purchase just in time for the holidays. Grab me a bottle too!

Katy Perry is full of unicorns and Care Bears

Showing off an interesting shade of pink hair, Katy Perry covers the October issue of InStyle Magazine. Perry is dressed in an Emanuel Ungaro dress and Louis Vuitton belt on the cover while wearing a stunning Miu Miu dress inside the mag.

Perry opened up about a few important topics during the interview including the possibility of having children with husband Russell Brand.

“Not yet. I think if you’re married, it’s often in your future.”

My favorite quote is on her secret to having it all!

“I’m not going to sit and be steamrolled; I’m going to stand up against things that are unjust. I am full of unicorns and Care Bears 99 percent of the time, but don’t open Pandora’s Box of that other 1 percent – because it’s there!”

Katy Perry brings her sweet treats to South Florida

With the official start of summer still a couple of weeks away, the concert circuit has been on fire in South Florida. I had the pleasure to attend the Katy Perry “California Dreams” Tour when it came through the Bank Atlantic Center on Saturday, June 11th, 2011 in Sunrise, Florida.

As an opener we were treated to dance tunes by Swedish recording artist Robyn who sang some of her most famous songs including Dancing on my Own, Indestructible, and Fembot.

This was Katy’s last stop in Florida before make her way Raleigh, North Carolina tomorrow. Her performance and set design were every bit as whimsical as her music videos. The stage was filled with images of sweets like candy canes, donuts and sugar covered mountain tops to name a few.

Katy kicked off her show with the hit song Teenage Dream which prepared everyone to remain on their feet and totally forget their seats for the rest of the night. Things slowed down a bit during her “loungy” version of “I Kissed A Girl” in which she brought a guy from the audience up on stage topless!

She played every imaginable song off her hit albums including Firework where she brought fans on stage to dance with her! In the crowd that went up on stage was Adam Shankman who is currently directing Katy’s husband Russell Brand in the film Rock of Ages.

Speaking of Russell, we FINALLY got a glimpse of the hunk when Katy jumped aboard a cloud the sent her to the end of the arena. He was wearing a white t-shirt and a black leather jacket as he stared at his wife proudly with a huge grin on his face. (Jealous!!)

Her dancers and musicians were equally as amazing the way they worked the crowd through every number. Even when Katy disappeared for an outfit change they continued to work on stage to keep fans entertained.

I tried to count her outfit changes since that always leaves me impressed but after the 8th or 9th one I totally lost count!!

She even performed popular songs from other great artists like “Whip My Hair” by Willow Smith, “Big Pimpin’” from Jay Z, and “Only Girl (In the World)” from her BFF Rihanna. My favorite was her closing number, “I Wanna Dance with Somebody” from Whitney Houston which magically transported me to 7th grade!

The “California Dreams” tour really exceeded my expectations as it included a little bit for everyone in attendance. Make sure to catch this show when it comes through your city!

The thirty five year old is featured in the latest issue of Details Magazine where he opens up about his drug filled past, his break out role in alongside Jason Segel and Kristen Bell, and of course, an interview can’t be complete without a shout out to wifey Katy Perry.
