
Norah Jones, 50 Cent, Casting Crowns, John Mayer – Which do you suspect will be atop Billboard’s Top 200 chart come Monday? With a battle amongst musical star power, singer/songwriter/guitarist John Mayer is foreseen to take the top spot, selling a projected 275,000 – 300,000 copies of “Battle Studies.” This will not be his highest first weeks numbers, however. Mayer’s second studio album “Heavier Things” managed to move 317,000 copies its first week.
The number two spot is projected to be taken by Christian group, Casting Crowns, with their album “Until the Whole World Hears.” The record is assumed to sell around 175,000 copies. Next, gangster rapper turned millionaire mogul, 50 Cent and his “Before I Self Destruct” is pinned to move 150,000 records. And last amongst the artistic powerhouse is projected to be Norah Jones with “The Fall,” figured to sell about 150,000 copies as well.
Other notables assumed to be somewhere on the Billboard list are tween sensation Justin Bieber’s debut album “My World,” American Idol winner Kris Allen and his self titled debut project, and the legendary Paul McCartney with his live set “Good Evening New York City.”
