Lily Allen welcomes a baby girl!

It is with much excitement that we can announce that Lily Allen and husband Sam Cooper are now the proud parents of a baby girl! Though her reps have yet to confirm the news, Lily’s ex-boyfriend DJ Seb Chew took to Twitter last night and released this cryptic Tweet.

sending out love to lily, sam and mini cooper……YES.

So either they are the owners of a new car or their precious bundle of joy has finally arrived! E! Online reports the couple welcomed a daughter on Friday in their native England. No name has been announced as of yet.

Mrs. Cooper also took to Twitter but made no formal announcement. You could tell her excitement though from her two little words.

I’m so happy Lily finally reached her dream of becoming a mother. She suffered from two miscarriages in the past which I’m sure has to be one of the hardest things in the world to endure.

Congrats Cooper family!

Is Lily Allen prepping for baby?

Australia has been enjoying a very special visit from British songstress Lily Allen this week. The 24-year-old performed a colorful set at The Big Day Out music festival at the Homebush Showground in Sydney today. Lily is currently touring Australia performing what could be some of her last ever gigs after she expressed her wishes to stop work to settle down and hopefully start a family.

“I want to have a baby. I’m not saying I’m pregnant now. Shut up, Lily. Shut up, Lily. That’s the sort of stuff that gets me into trouble I suppose.”

The poor thing probably hasn’t gotten over the devastation of suffering a miscarriage with then-boyfriend Ed Simons’ baby in January 2008.

She recently spoke about her her desire to settle down outside of London and live a quiet life with her boyfriend Sam Cooper, who she started dating last summer.

Joss Stone disses Lily Allen

Lily Allen is not going to be too happy when she hears Joss Stone called her out! In a recent interview, Stone shared her thoughts on the fellow Brit’s stance on file sharing.

Lily Allen is “more of a personality than she is a singer”, Joss Stone said this week, dismissing Allen’s polemic against filesharing. “[Lily] needs to sell records because she’s not a singer, and that’s not an offence to her because I think that she knows that too,” Stone told the Press Association.

Lily Allen Smoking

Lily Allen raised a few eyebrows in Paris last night as she performed at Le Zenith in a skimpy leotard, openly smoking cigarettes and drinking white wine.  Smoking has been banned in public places in France since last year, but Lily paid no mind as she puffed away between songs.  What do you think — disrespectful and immature, or cool and rebellious?

Lily, who used to update her Twitter account several times a day, is one of the many celebrities to publicly “quit” the micro-blogging site recently.  She last updated in September, saying “I’m a neo-Luddite … goodbye.”
