Kelly Osbourne and Lourdes Leon celebrate first year of Material Girl

Madonna’s daughter Lourdes Leon and Kelly Osbourne celebrated Material Girl‘s first birthday at Macy’s Herald Square on Tuesday, September 20th, 2011 in New York City.

Kelly kept it rocker chic in a fitted black miniskirt showing off her killer curves topped off with a leopard print blouse and leather jacket. Lourdes looked quite feminine in a yellow and white mini dress with red lips. Both ladies wore matching black pumps.

I am lovin’ the oversized glasses on Kelly! They look so cutesy paired with her pink lips and wavy hair and are played up well by the leather jacket.

While the famous mama wasn’t in attendance, Kelly and Lourdes took on the role of hosts for the party. The event was complete with a runway show followed by the two talking with the audience about the collection.

After the fashion line was launched last year, Kelly took over as spokesmodel when original pick Taylor Momsen proved to be a little too edgy. (that’s pretty much off-record though!)

Hats off to Kelly and Lourdes on all of the success in their first year!

It’s a family affair at the Nine premiere

familynine

All the beautiful people came out to attend the New York screening of NINE co-hosted by Martini at Ziegfeld Theatre on December 15, 2009. Most notably were these stylish family combos that really caught my eye on the red carpet.   They include Dame Judi Dench and her daughter Finty Williams, Kate Hudson and her mom Goldie Hawn, Sarah Ferguson a.k.a. Fergie and her mom Terri Jackson, Madonna and her daughter Lourdes Leon, and twin sister Mary Kate and Ashley Olson.

Say what you will about Madonna but the woman keeps her promises!

The pop icon, who was joined by her daughter Lourdes, launched the construction of a multi-million dollar girls’ school she is building in Malawi on Monday. Madge, who has two adopted children from the impoverished southern African country is building The Raising Malawi Academy for Girls that will house 500 girls is set to be completed in 2 years.

“Our goal is to teach them to challenge themselves, serve their local communities and develop their country,” said Madonna in a statement. ” Research proves that young girls throughout the developing world are often left without opportunities to receive a comprehensive education and the benefits that education can provide.”

She also promises to to build similar schools in other countries if the project succeeds.

The price of building this school is estimated at $15 million dollars.

For more information on how you can help with this project check out the official website here.

Madonna’s daughter Lourdes gets into the groove

MUST BYLINE: EROTEME.CO.UK Madonna's daughter Lourdes Leon (b. October 14, 1996) who is becoming quiet the fashionista looks like a copycat image of her mother in the 1980's film

Lourdes Leon, Madonna’s daughter, looks like she raided her mom’s old Desperately Seeking Susan wardrobe this morning. She danced her way out of their London home wearing yellow sunglasses, a black leather jacket, and flowered leggings.

Lourdes just turned 13 a few weeks ago. I can’t believe she’s already that old! She looks like a very well adjusted, happy teenager! Amazing, considering the crazy situations many celebrities’ kids grow up in, especially Madonna’s.

Madonna goes for a swim

Madonna is not letting a bit of booing ruin her time in Romania. The singer was spotted swimming in a tank top and sweat pants with her daughter Lourdes at the the Radisson Hotel in Bucharest on August 27, 2009.

Her Madgesty was criticized by the audience at her latest concert for comment on the discrimination of Romany Gypsies while on stage. She uses a troupe of Roma musicians on her Sticky and Sweet Tour.

Madonna paused during her two-hour show to say: “It has been brought to my attention, that there is a lot of discrimination against Romanies and Gypsies in general in Eastern Europe – it made me feel very sad.”

“We don’t believe in discrimination, we believe in freedom and equal rights for everyone.”

Her publicist Liz Rosenberg had this to say.

“Madonna has been touring with a phenomenal troupe of Roma musicians who made her aware of the discrimination toward them in several countries so she felt compelled to make a brief statement,” she added.

The crowd of 60,000 had a variety of cheers and jeers though we are told the majority were not happy with the comments.

Also spotted in the pool are two of her dancers including AntBoogie. He also has a Fabulous music site you should check out here!
