Mandy Moore prepares for the winter months

No matter where you live, everyone is affected by the winter some way or another. Everyone must think that because I live in Florida I don’t go through many of the problems that people in the colder states go through but its just not true.

And as you can tell by these new images of Mandy Moore, she too is starting to feel the touch of winter on her skin as she spreads a bit of lotion after departing from a local Rite Aid in Los Angeles, California on Saturday, November 12th, 2011.

Whatever the 27-year-old is doing as part of her beauty regime is working brilliantly!

The avid fight fan wrapped up her Saturday enjoying the UFC Live Heavyweight Championship where Brazilian Junio Dos Santos beat Cain Velasquez.

Missed the National Movie Awards? We have the wrap up!

It was an evening to remember with some of the worlds biggest stars on the red carpet at the L’Oreal National Movie Awards 2011 held at Wembley Arena on Wednesday, May 11th, 2011 in London, England. Above you can see the beautiful Mandy Moore whose film Tangled won the Best Animated Film and Ed Westwick who served as presenter for the “Must See Movie of the Summer” Category. (The honor went to Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part 2 of course!)

Also in attendance were one of my favorite comedic duos, Simon Pegg and Nick Frost who took home the award for “Best Comedy” for their film, Paul. I REALLY hope they decide to attend Comic Con again this year. Meeting them was one of the highlights of my trip to San Diego last year.

Another big winner this evening was Jamie Campbell Bower who won the title of “One to Watch: Brits Going Global.” The long haired hunk currently stars on the Starz hit period drama, Camelot. The beautiful red head on his arm is his Harry Potter co-star and fiancée Bonnie Wright.

Another American beauty representing on the red carpet was Nicole Scherzinger who arrived with long time love Lewis Hamilton. The British Formula One racer served as presenter for the “Best Animated Film” category which went to Tangled as mentioned above.

Not to go without mention was actor Matthew Horne whom I absolutely adore from his time on Gavin and Stacey. He is set to star in the summer comedy Horrid Henry: The Movie alongside Anjelica Huston and Noel Fielding.

Other big winners from tonight were Colin Firth who won “Performance of the Year” for his portrayal of King George VI in The King’s Speech. The period drama also won in the “Best Drama” and “Special Recognition” categories.

Where is Tom Hooper storing all these trophies I wonder?

Last but certainly not least, actor Johnny Depp was honored with the “Screen Icon” Award. He was not there to accept it in person but he did send a video recording to thank everyone for the accolade.

Congrats to all the winners!

On the Scene: Melissa George & Mandy Moore

It’s great to see Mandy Moore working on a new film! I’m surprised she has the time with a new husband and her music keeping her busy.

Mandy and co-star Melissa George were on set at Primrose Hill in London filming scenes from their new Romantic Comedy entitled, Swinging with the Finkels. Moore plays alongside Martin Freeman as a married couple going through a turbulent time. So they decide to become swingers!

A spokeswoman for the movie said: “We have been filming in a few different locations in Cambridge for the last couple of days. It’s a rom.com The couple first meet while they studying at Cambridge University and the film develops from there and covers the rest of their lives.

“Some of the scenes are being shot in the city. They are punting on the river and one of the stars falls in. We chose Cambridge because it is so beautiful and quintessentially English. The actors have had a really great time filming here.”

Melissa George’s on screen husband will be played by Jonathan Silverman.

You can just see the love flowing between Mandy Moore and her new hubby Ryan Adams! They look very lovey dovey as they took their dog for a walk in Los Angeles yesterday afternoon.

From what I’ve heard about Adams is that his music is loved by many and that he is very talented. I’m glad to see his hair has been dyed to one color and his clothing is looking a lot nicer now that they are settled. I know its a bit rude to say but I’ve seen all the comments made about him and I know the majority of you out there wondered what she saw in him also!

Now they do look make a lovely match.
