REVIEW: Hawaii Five-0 – Episode 1.12 “Hana ‘a’a Makehewa”

Hana ‘a’a Makehewa:
Desperate Measures

Remember when Steve McGarrett (Alex O’Loughlin) killed Spike, I mean Victor Hesse (James Marsters), at the start of the season? Well, it turns out, the jerk didn’t die! Instead, he returns to make this a very stressful episode. (He should have known that you can’t kill a vampire with two .9mm slugs, or am I getting my shows mixed up?)

Seconds after the show begins, McGarrett and Danny (Scott Caan) blew past law enforcement in a full blast suit to get to their friend, Chin Ho (Daniel Dae Kim). Chin is on his knees with a bomb strapped to a collar around his [Read more...]

REVIEW: Hawaii Five-0 – Episode 1.11 “Palekaiko”

Hawaii Five-0 1x11

Palekaiko:
Paradise

We learned a few key things about our favorite Five-0s. For instance, Chin Ho (Daniel Dae Kim) used to be engaged, but his fiancé ditched him when he went under investigation for being a dirty cop. And, we learned two things about Danny (Scott Caan), first, when he was a rookie he had to tell a young a boy that is mother had been killed and second, the last time he puked was May 18, 1996. Kono (Grace Park) apparently lives in a very tiny apartment and isn’t necessarily sure she wants to get married. And, the biggie… While helping McGarrett (Alex O’Loughlin) [Read more...]

INTERVIEW: Masi Oka ready to make a splash on “Hawaii Five-0″

There is no doubt that the hottest new show of the season is “Hawaii Five-0!” A remake of the 1968 hit, the new version brings a lethal combination of beautiful people and lots of action keeping watchers drooling and on the edge of their seat.

Emmy and Golden Globe nominated Masi Oka, who you will remember as the adorable Hiro Nakamura from the NBC superhero drama Heroes, is set to guest star in two episodes starting on October 12th, 2010. He will bring to life the role of Medical Examiner Max Bergman who performs autopsies and provides forensic analysis to the Five-0 team.

A childhood piano prodigy and long-standing MENSA member, Max received his doctor’s license before he was old enough to drive — but they don’t teach social skills at medical school. For all his intellectual gifts, Max is inept when it comes to human interaction, which is why [Read more...]

Heroes Episode Photos!

I was checking out these pictures of our favorite Heroes stars from Season 4 that include episodes 2-4 in them and I knew I had to share them! Amongst my favorite (of course!) are the shots of the Petrelli Brothers.

Who could resist these two?

Many of our favorite Heroes stars came out to support their friend and co-star Zachary Quinto at the Star Trek premiere in Hollywood last night. Unfortunately there was no sign of Milo Ventimiglia. =(

They include Jack Coleman, Masi Oka, Adrian Pasdar & his gorgeous wife Natalie Maines, Christine Rose, and Hayden Panettiere.

Star Trek hits theaters next Friday!!

Happy Heroes Monday!

The amazing cast of Heroes teamed to increase autism awareness and help raise funds for autism research last night. The first ever “Heroes for Autism” event took place at the Avalon Hollywood in Los Angeles. The function was hosted by The Office star Rainn Wilson and featured celebrity band, Band from TV featuring Greg Grunberg, Adrian Pasdar, Hugh Laurie, James Denton, and Bob Guiney. Special guests for the evening were Sheryl Crowe, Wendy & Lisa, and Nikka Costa.

My Miami people be on alert! The Band from TV stars will be hosting “A Concert for Charity” at the Shore Club in South Beach on May 16th. Tickets for the event start at $100 for general admission and $175 for V.I.P. admission which includes a pre-party with The Band as well as a preferred viewing area.  Don’t forget, the money is going to charity!

Peek-a-boo!

Haiii Hayden!  We see you trying to hide behind co-star Masi Oka!  The duo headed to Mozza Pizza in Hollywood for lunch today.  Speaking of pizza, I was watching Masi during his appearance on The Bonnie Hunt show on Friday where he shares a hilarious story about the first time he ever ate pizza in America.

He also talks about how difficult it is to date when all his information is so easily available on the internet, his stand-up comedy/musical background, and how his fans receive him when he arrives to his native country of Japan.

Don’t forget to watch Heroes tonight on NBC!
