Ian Somerhalder, Matt Davis, and Michael Trevino meet the press in Madrid

They may be at each others throats on, The Vampire Diaries on a weekly basis but it looks like Ian Somerhalder, Matt Davis and Michael Trevino get along pretty well in real life! The trio met with media at the ‘Bloody Night Con’ press conference on Thursday, May 4th, 2012 in Barcelona, Spain.

I so love seeing new images of my favorite hottie, 33-year old Davis who plays the role of Alaric on the CW hit, who mostly enjoys staying out of the spotlight. Also my Latino brother Trevino was in the house representing the werewolves during the second annual convention.

What a shame I didn’t know about this sooner because I would have considered a trip to Europe to see these two guys. As if I really need an excuse to travel to a beautiful location!

It was just announced yesterday that The Vampire Diaries had been renewed and would be returning for a fourth season of bloody good drama this fall. Also coming back for another season are 90210 (for a fifth season) and Supernatural (for an eighth season).

Look, we all know superheroes are very much en vogue in Hollywood these days. We also all know how skintight attire really, reeeeeally works with hot guys (I’m still recovering from the sight of Thor and Captain America presenting at the Golden Globes.) But dude, how much more “the Fantastic Three Take Mystic Falls” can that still with Damon (Ian Somerhalder), Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Tyler (Michael Trevino) look? There’s no invisible woman but Caroline (Candice Accola) pretty much fits the look, so I guess we’re covered.

As we take a glimpse at these exclusive behind-the-scenes photos of The Vampire Diaries, before tonight’s super-explosive (per usual TVD habit) episode, we can only say that, other than the excellent writing, it is hard to match the sexiness going around TVD these days. And, forgive me, but I say this especially bearing in mind the funny sexiness of that Alaric/Jenna/Elena scene. Which is all I can think of looking at the above photo portraying Alaric (Matt Davis). We need much more Alaric on TVD, and I’m thrilled to see there’s definitely more of him around this episode, which will see the arrival of Jules, a new girl in town. Needless to say she is hot. The video may not be best quality but this preview for the new episode of The Vampire Diaries sure looks like the story will be beyond awesome! Let me recover from my undying jealousy for Nina Dobrev for a minute here. Girl’s got the best job in the entire universe.. You know that scene from Jurassic Park, guys?

Where the little plastic cup of water starts to vibrate as the T Rex thunders closer, about to make its first appearance in the movie and leave everyone terrified of ever visiting a theme-park toilet again? Well, I sort of feel like that’s how the internet is right now — silently poised, just waiting for the return of The Vampire Diaries who have most definitely been the Dinosaur for the CW network as far as pulling ratings goes.
