Matt Smith is having a good ol’ time while in the United States promoting Doctor Who. The eleventh Doctor spent the weekend at the Coachella Music Festival while taking a much needed break.
Smith has sent papers into a frenzy after being photographed walking hand in hand with British fashion model (and daughter of Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale) Daisy Lowe. It’s pretty obvious the two were having a fun time together!

America is ready to join the United Kingdom and welcome the eleventh Doctor Who when the show premieres on Saturday, April 17th on BBC America.
The promotional tour has brought the Doctor himself Matt Smith and his companion played by Karen Gillan to New York City. They were joined by writer Steven Moffat at the “Who’s Next? The New Era of Doctor Who” screening at the Paley Center For Media on April 12, 2010.

A new era of the BAFTA-winning series, Doctor Who, premieres on BBC AMERICA. From new lead writer and executive producer Steven Moffat, the series follows the adventures of The Doctor, the mysterious traveler who, with his human companions, journeys throughout all of time and space, facing a variety
of foes and righting wrongs.
This latest series sees Matt Smith’s debut as the Doctor alongside a new traveling companion, the enigmatic Amy Pond (Karen Gillan). Together they explore sixteenth century Venice, France during the 1890s and the United Kingdom in the far future, now an entire nation floating in space.
Doctor Who premieres Saturday, April 17th at 9PM/8C on BBC AMERICA as an extended version with limited commercial interruption.

26-year-old Matt Smith has become the youngest actor ever to play Dr. Who. Smith was named as David Tennant’s replacement in Saturday’s edition of Doctor Who Confidential.
He said: “I feel proud and honoured to have been given this opportunity to join a team of people that has worked so tirelessly to make the show so thrilling.
“David Tennant has made the role his own, brilliantly, with grace, talent and persistent dedication. I hope to learn from the standards set by him.
“The challenge for me is to do justice to the show’s illustrious past, my predecessors, and most importantly, to those who watch it. I really cannot wait.”
Smith will be seen on tv screens as the 11th Doctor Who in 2010.
