Reports are claiming celebrity supercouple, Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick have welcomed twin girls via surrogate at East Ohio Regional Hospital in Martins Ferry, Ohio. SJP and Matthew are there with her and are expected to make a formal announcement within the next 48 hours.

This makes their 6-year-old son James Wilkie Broderick a big brother. I’m so EXCITED for them!

**UPDATE: The happy couple have named their new daughters and issued a statement.**

Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick said Tuesday they were “delighted to announce the healthy arrival of their two daughters” – twins born Monday afternoon in Ohio via a surrogate.

“The babies are doing beautifully and the entire family is over the moon,” the couple say in a statement confirming earlier reports.

Born at 3:58 p.m., Marion Loretta Elwell weighed 5 lbs., 11 oz, and Tabitha Hodge Broderick weighed 6 lbs. “Both Hodge and Elwell are family names on Parker’s side,” the statement explains.

Sarah Jessica Parker and her husband Matthew Broderick are “happily anticipating the birth of their twin daughters later this summer with the generous help of a surrogate. The entire family is overjoyed.”

The couple are already parents to adorable 6-year-old James Wilkie have been married for 12 years.

A friend of the couple give a little more info on the situation to Entertainment Weekly exclusively.

“They had a lot of unsuccessful tries,” says the friend. “They came to the conclusion that this was going to be the best alternative for expanding their family.” The couple turned to a surrogate — whose name and place of residence have not been disclosed — last year. “They’re over the moon and excited as any prospective parents would be,” says the friend. “Their life is about to get a lot busier.”

The new baby girls are going to have a lot of awesome hand-me-downs to inherit from mom! I wish they would adopt me!!
