Heather Locklear IS returning to Melrose Place!

Heather Locklear

The CW is announcing today that the villainous Amanda Woodward is returning to the updated version of Melrose Place! The 47-year-old is joining former residents Laura Leighton, Thomas Calabro, Josie Bisset and Daphne Zuniga along with a whole new cast of kids who inhabit the famous apartment complex.

Have any of you guys been watching the new Melrose? I’ve caught the first two episodes and I wasn’t really impressed. Maybe Heather can bring back some of the good ol’ fashioned antics that made the original so popular.

Expect to see her return on November 17th.

Ashlee Simpson-Wentz has signed on to play one of the leads on the CW’s remake of Melrose Place! Ashlee will be playing the role of Violet, a bright-eyed but shrewd small-town girl and recent L.A. transplant who has come to town with a secret.

She joins 2 already named co-stars, Michael Rady and Katie Cassidy.

You don’t have to wait that long to see her hit the small screen.  Ashlee and her Fall Out Boy hubby will guest star on an episode of CSI:NY where they play Bonnie-and-Clyde types.  This episode airs on March 18th.

The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 actor Michael Rady is the first star to join the new CW remake of Melrose Place.  Rady will play Jonah Miller, a cute and quirky 25-year-old aspiring filmmaker who makes his living as a videographer of weddings and bar mitzvahs for the rich and famous after moving to Los Angeles with his fiancee a year ago.

Melrose Place part 2 is being directed by Inconvenient Truth’s Davis Guggenheim and being penned by Smallville’s executive producers Todd Slavkin and Darren Swimmer.
