Michael C Hall and Emmy Rossum celebrate Showtime’s Fall Schedule at TCA’s

The closer we get to all the fall season bringing about a return to old favorites and the start of many fantastic new shows, the more excited I get! The stars of many Showtime hits celebrated the upcoming season during a special event during he 2012 TCA Summer Tour on Sunday, July 29th, 2012 in Beverly Hills, California.

Amongst the celebrities partying up included Dexter stud Michael C. Hall, Shameless stars Emmy Rossum and Shanola Hampton, Weeds stars Justin Kirk and Hunter Parrish, Homeland beauty Morena Baccarin, House of Lies stars Don Cheadle and Dawn Olivieri, Episodes star Matt LeBlanc and his former Friends co-star (and Web Therapy star) Lisa Kudrow.

Two of the most highly anticipated returns of the fall at my house are Dexter and Homeland! Teasers for both have kept me on the edge of my seat and I am dying to find out what Deb (Jennifer Carpenter) and Carrie Matheson (Claire Danes) have been up to!

Tune in to the season premiere of both on September 30th on Showtime.

“Chuck” alum Yvonne Strahovski joins cast of “Dexter,” Showtime releases first image

It seems like too much to ask for in one day but not only do we get to see the first image of season seven of the Showtime hit Dexter (above), but now we are also learning some casting news! Chuck alum Yvonne Strahovski will appear in a multi-episode story arc in the role of “Hannah McKay, a strong, independent woman with a past that she’s struggled to put behind her. As a turn of events leads Miami Metro Homicide to ask for her help in solving some old cases, Dexter (Michael C Hall) works with her and begins to wonder if there’s more to this woman than she’s professed.”

Production on season seven began last week and will premiere on SHOWTIME on Sunday, September 30th at 9 p.m. ET/PT, just a day shy of my birthday! Geez guys, you shouldn’t have!

So let’s talk about the first photo showing that the series will pick up just where they left us during the big cliffhanger last season. Deb (Jennifer Carpenter) has just seen her brother ritualistically kill Travis, the s6 baddy right before her eyes. There is no way he can get out of this one, or is there?

I highly doubt the team of executive producers and writers would let ol’ Dex off the hook that easy. So its definitely going to be an adventure to see just how Deb will react and how much of his past will unravel before her eyes.

Homegirl bleeds blue but Dexter is her family. I’m gearing up for another exciting season!!

Elizabeth Olsen and Michael C. Hall step out for ‘Silent House’

Elizabeth Olsen smiled for photographers at the premiere of her latest film, Silent House held at AMC Loews Lincoln Square on Tuesday, March 6th, 2012 in New York City. Joining her on the red carpet was Dexter star Michael C. Hall who was rockin’ a whole lotta facial hair!

The horror film follows Sarah, a young woman who finds herself sealed inside her family’s secluded lake house. With no contact to the outside world, and no way out, panic turns to terror as events become increasingly ominous in and around the house.

Silent House hits theaters on March 9th, 2012. Check out the trailer below:

Will Deb find out about Dexter’s dark passenger this season?

Evidence is mounting that season six will be THE season when Deborah Morgan (Jennifer Carpenter) discovers her brother Dexter’s (Michael C Hall) killer secret. Michael Ausiello just posted his weekly spoilers that have all but confirmed the finale will be another showstopper!

Question: Please tell me this is the season Deb finds out about Dexter‘s recreational activities. How much longer can they drag this out? —Steve
Ausiello: I’ll say this: Something happens towards the end of the Season 6 that will forever alter the show’s DNA. Interpret as you like.

My vote is: Deb will find out that her brother is a serial killer and her reaction is what will alter the show’s DNA. There is no denying that she is a die hard detective but she has always had a soft spot for her brother. Would she turn him in? Would Dexter give up or even worse, kill her in order to keep his secret hidden?

The fall television season can’t arrive soon enough.

Showtime also released this fabulous behind-the-scenes video last week with cast interviews and some insight on the roles of guest stars Colin Hanks and Edward James Olmos.

Monday Madness with Michael C Hall and Michael Pitt

Why do Monday’s have to represent sadness or anger because the weekend is over? Let’s change our minds about the first day of the work week by celebrating two of Hollywood’s hot boys, Michael C Hall and Michael Pitt!

The duo were spotted upon their arrival at the Critics’ Choice Television Awards held at Beverly Hills Hotel on June 20th, 2011 in Beverly Hills, California.

Hall was nominated for “Best Actor in a Drama Series” for his work on Dexter and Pitt was up for the “Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series” for his portrayal of Jimmy Darmody in the HBO hit Boardwalk Empire.

Neither took home an award at during the inaugural ceremony, though they gave winners Jon Hamm and John Noble (respectively) a run for their money! (two Michael’s lost to two Jo(h)n’s!)

Better luck next year guys!

Dexter has a special message for YOU!

Sorry for the lack of news guys but I’ve been in Toronto visiting the set of two USA Network shows. I’m currently on break and I saw this new video of Dexter that I knew I had to stop and post immediately!!

If you were wondering what direction season six of the hit Showtime drama would be taking, worry no more. Dexter (Michael C Hall) himself wants to let you know that he is starting to feel like his old self again. Get ready for the blood bath Miami!

Could this madness lead to sister Deb (Jennifer Carpenter) finding out his secret? I know that I’m dying to find out, are you?!

Season six is currently shooting in Los Angeles, California.

Michael C Hall and Sam Trammell: Geek Out!

Two of my favorite guys, Michael C Hall and Sam Trammell stepped out for the Los Angeles Times’ 3rd Annual “The Envelope: Primetime Emmy Screening Series” Geek TV Panel held on Wednesday, June 8th, 2011 in Los Angeles, California. Joining them were comedian Joel McHale and Big Bang Theory star Johnny Galecki.

As part of Emmy Week celebrations, the LA Times have set up five fabulous days where they screen premieres of highly anticipated television programs, host Q and A and Roundtable discussions with the stars of shows like, Mad Men, True Blood, Dexter, Justified, Community and Shameless amongst others.

Last nights “Geek Out” event was the final one of the series.
