Don’t fall asleep, Nightmare on Elm Street is back!

Elm Street Teaser Poster

Hollywood has been on a re-boot streak as of late. No genre is immune and no character is too sacred. Yesterday was all about Michael Bay’s re-boot of the iconic Wes Craven franchise, A Nightmare On Elm Street. Coming for you, on April 30th, 2010. (Please read last statement in melodic nursery-rhyme tune.)

It’s been a while since I’ve seen any of the Nightmare films, but this looks scarier to me. The original always seemed a little campy (Horror movie? Campy? No way!). I feel the need to watch the original again. All 7 of them! In fact, I foresee a lot of Elm Street marathons between now and April.

Do you remember the first time you saw the movies? I was 13 years old and at a small sleepover with a friends. We watched all 7 of the movies over two nights!

Lisa Edelstein attended the premiere of the Bill Pullman film, Surveillance on June 15th. The House star walked the red carpet at the Landmark Theatre in Westwood, California in gorgeous below-the-knew black satin dress with colorful birds flying across her body!

In this film Pullman and his co-star Julia Ormond play federal officers attempting to solve a series of vicious slayings.

Twilight: New Moon poster, better than Old Moon leaflet

If you’re a real Twilight fan, I’m sure you already saw this when your friend texted you in the middle of the night to get online to see it. Other than that, the poster doesn’t really tell you much about the next film, but then again, I’m sure they don’t have to. RP looks like he’s about to cry, and the other kid looks like he’s about to “slap a bitch”. Ok, back to work now.

On the Scene: Megan Fox

A very relaxed looking Megan Fox was spotted on set of her new movie, Jonah Hex in New Orleans on Friday. She was walking to the make-up trailer to transform into a prostitute named Lilah that gets rescued by Josh Brolin’s character Jonah from a brothel.

Jonah Hill will arrive in theaters August 6th, 2010.

Keira Knightley had crowds of fans waiting for a glimpse of their favorite star in the seaside town of Clevedon today. The actress was on location filming scenes for her upcoming Science Fiction Thriller, Never Let You Go. Filming began there yesterday and will conclude on Saturday.

This has all become very exciting for this small town in Somerset. Though some business owners are finding themselves a bit frustrated with the filming happening during the busiest days of the week, most are hopeful this film will put Clevedon on the map! A few of the local shops in town will be used in the film.

Never Let Me Go is based on a novel by Kazuo Ishiguro. You can catch it in theaters in 2010.

Keanu Reeves wants you to watch Anvil!

Keanu Reeves attended the premiere of Anvil! The Story of Anvil at the Egyptian Theater in Hollywood last night. This is the 3rd time I see Keanu sporting this hat. I can’t say I really like it. It kind of reminds me of the Sorting Hat from Harry Potter! I forgive him though, he can wear whatever he wants and still look hot!

He was there supporting his friend in his directorial debut, Sacha Gervasi.

“I love this film. If you haven’t seen this, go… it’s inspiring; it’s just a really good film.”

Keanu attended the event with China Chow.

Anvil! The Story of Anvil hits theaters in limited release, April 10th.

Platinum blond hottie Anna Faris was on hand this evening for the premiere of her new movie, Observe and Report.  She stars as Brandi, a hot make-up counter girl who is the object of Ronnie Berhardts (Setg Rogen) affection.

Ronnie is the head of security who patrols his jurisdiction with an iron fist, combating skateboarders, shoplifters and the occasional unruly customer while dreaming of the day when he can swap his flashlight for a badge and a gun. His delusions of grandeur are put to the test when the mall is struck by a flasher.

Observe & Report hits theaters on April 10th.
