Nicole Richie and Christina Aguilera rock the red carpet at the Alma Awards

The 2012 Alma Awards brought out all the biggest Latino stars in Pasadena! Nicole Richie and Christina Aguilera hit the red carpet at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium on Sunday, September 16, 2012.Their dress choices were pretty similar in that both are full length black gowns with sheer panels that show off their sexy curves!

Christina has been judged rather harshly in the past for her choices in attire since she has gained a few pounds in the last few years but I think she deserves credit for picking this Michael Kors dress that is appropriate to both her age and shape and features that sexy Jolie-esque slit that everybody loves!

Not to mention those bedazzled Christian Louboutin heels! LOVE!  That purple-colored ponytail she added however, was not a favorite.

Richie, who presented the “Favorite TV Actor” award alongside Venezuelan actor Edgar Ramirez this evening, is literally one of the best dressed of the night in her Mathieu Mirano dress!  You couldn’t expect any less from one of the hottest designers of the moment.

Nicole launched her newest collection with Macy’s Impulse last week and the pieces are beautiful and perfect for women of all sizes.  Check out my preview of the collection via this link.

South Florida fashionistas preview the Nicole Richie Collection for Macy’s

While Nicole Richie has been enjoying various shows during New York Fashion Week, local fashionistas in Miami had the chance to preview her new Macy’s Impulse collection last night! A group of fourteen of us headed over to Macy’s Aventura Mall where the special events team had racks of Nicole Richie’s pieces waiting for us in a green room full of drinks and snacks.

I must admit, I was a bit worried about finding an outfit that would fit my curvy figure, but I was pleasantly surprised at how many options I really had. In true Nicole Richie fashion, the collection featured items that were flowy and boho-chic, perfect for women of all sizes.

Tip to ladies who are thinking of shopping for the items online: I found that most of the pieces are running about a size too big. So if you are typically a Large, purchase the Medium for the perfect fit!

The only thing that could have made the experience better, would have been to have Nicole herself give us her opinion on our looks! But we know how it is girl, Fashion Week calls!

Prices for the line are extremely affordable, they range from $39.00-$89.00. Supplies are limited, so make sure you head over to your nearest Macy’s to grab your favorite pieces! You can also shop online via this link.

Nicole Richie set to launch debut first fragrance this fall!

Nicole Richie continues to grow her empire! Come fall, the actress, author and mommy will unveil her eponymous scent produced by TPR Holdings LLC. As you can tell from the photo above, Nicole kept the design of the bottle classy with a beautiful Art Deco appearance.

Inspired by her mother, the scent will “open with notes of succulent blackberry and Seville orange, has a heart of golden amber, Moroccan rose, lily of the valley and papyrus, and a drydown of sensual cashmere woods, sandalwood, sugared patchouli and vanilla absolute.”

“I have a very traditional Southern mom — you never left the house without lotion,” said Richie during a phone interview with WWD. “Over her lotion went oil and perfume — she was very put together from head to toe. It wasn’t just a one-dimensional smell — there were many different layers.”

The Eau de parfum will be available in two sizes, 1.7 oz. for $55 and 3.4 oz. for $69. You can also grab a body lotion for $35, and a 6.7-oz. bath and shower gel, $28. The scent will be sold in about 2,000 department and specialty stores in the U.S., including Macy’s, Nordstrom and Dillard’s in September.

Nicole Richie launches new clothing and accessories line with QVC

You gotta love it when designers you love create lower cost pieces making it affordable to everyone!

Nicole Richie is just one week away from unveiling The Nicole Richie Collection, her new line of accessories and apparel with leading multimedia retailer QVC. On Friday, February 24 at 9 PM (ET), Richie is scheduled to appear on QVC during The Buzz on the Red Carpet – Live from L.A. with three brand new items ranging in price from approximately $75.00 – $260.00.

Here is sneak peek of the scheduled items set to debut next Friday. They feature very print-driven pieces with a bohemian flare that create a unique and sophisticated look. I can picture Nicole being photographed by the paparazzi proudly in any of these!

I am loving the Printed Crinkle Maxi Dress in red (shown on Nicole above), which will sell for approximately $115.50.  The Printed Cascade Jacket will run approximately $75.00 and the Textured Leather Hobo is approximately $257.00.

Nicole Richie brings House of Harlow to Fred Segal

The always stylish Nicole Richie made a special appearance this afternoon (November 20th) at Fred Segal in Los Angeles, California to celebrate the opening of her House of Harlow 1960 pop-up shop at Ron Robinson just in time for the holidays.

The 30-year-old mommy-of-two looked fashion forward in a sequined Halston dress, sky-high pumps, and an adorable red clutch.

Earlier this month Nicole was honored with the 2011 ‘Influencer of the Year’ Award from the Accessories Council Excellence Awards. This accolade must be very special to her since honorees are nominated and voted upon by their peers in the accessory industry, retailers, the Accessories Council Board of Directors and the fashion press.

Items you can find for purchase at the fun pop-up shop at Fred Segal include jewelry, handbags, frames, and sunglasses.
