Penelope Cruz: She bangs she bangs!

peneloposcars1Are you feeling Penelope Cruz and her bangs?  Yeah me either.

Penelope Cruz is up for Best Supporting actress at the 81st Annual Academy Awards for her role in the Woody Allen film, Vicky Cristina Barcelona.

UPDATE: Penelope Cruz wins for her role as Maria Elena in Vicky Cristina Barcelona!  Congrats!

SJP: Oscar’s Milkmaid

sjposcars3Is Sarah Jessica Parker pregnant or is she wearing a mega push-up bra?  I have never seen tiny little SJP with her cups overflowing.  This is not natural.  Love the dress but not feeling the hair.

Oh yeah, Matthew Broderick was there too.

Freida Pinto & Dev Patel are totally doing it!

freida3

Slumdog Millionaire actors Freida Pinto and Dev Patel have been inseparable since they started promoting their movie. They can deny it all they want but you can see that little glimmer in her eyes when they ask her if they are together.

After Freida’s divorce is final I’m sure they will let the rest of us in on their secret.

Slumdog Millionaire is up for Oscars in 9 categories.  I hope they win Best Picture, I want to see all the little kids on stage!

Spotted: Daniel Craig

Hugh Jackman fancies a dance

90206p3_jackman_b_gr_04“Sexiest Man Alive” Hugh Jackman was spotted stocking up on java and heading towards Cedar Lake Dance Studios in New York this morning.  Is the “Wolverine” star practicing for his gig on the Oscars?

According to In Touch, Hugh Jackman recently did a rehearsal for the February 22nd Awards show, and the audience thought he was hilarious.

“Brad Pitt has let himself go a bit, and not since Burt Reynolds has the title of Sexiest Man Alive been taken seriously,” he joked to the crowd.

It’s not like this is the first awards ceremony he’s done. Jackman also hosted the Tony Awards.

“I’m just going to stand there doing not doing anything – it’s only three or four hours, I figure that will get me through,” he said.

This year’s Oscars might ROFL.

judd-apatow02

LOS ANGELES – Judd Apatow is coming to the Oscars — and he’s bringing a new film.

The comedy writer-director-producer, whose screen credits include “Knocked Up,” will unveil fresh material on stage and on screen during the Oscar telecast on Feb. 22, said show producers Bill Condon and Laurence Mark.

They said Apatow and his work will appear during a tribute to comedy.

@ MSNBC

Hey! The Oscars might actually be funny this year!! Or at least part of it. It seems like no matter who hosts, whether you’re a fan of Jon Stewart, Chris Rock, or (insert comedian name here), you can tell they’re in major comedic pain when hosting the Oscars. In comes Judd Apatow, the now A-list producer/writer/director of just about every really funny movie over the past 4 years has been tapped to create a tribute (a.k.a. time-filler) to comedy featuring some of his very own stuff and comedy classics. You have to give this guy MAJOR credit. He’s helped make Steve Carell, Seth Rogen, Jonah Goldberg, and Will Ferrell the comedic A-listers they are today. As a matter of fact, I’d be pretty disappointed if they weren’t involved in this tribute. Let’s see how many pot references they can squeeze in.
