Penelope Cruz is NOT pregnant!

September 10, 2009: Penelope Cruz at the premiere of

Ladies, wouldn’t you hate it if you gained a couple of pounds and people kept insisting you were pregnant? Poor Penelope Cruz has been plagued all summer with rumors of having a bun in the oven with her longtime boyfriend Javier Bardem.

She finally set the record straight during an interview with USA Today.

“I start getting some presents from friends saying, ‘Congratulations, you’re pregnant.’ And I say, ‘No, I’m not, so return the presents,’” Cruz told USA Today at the Toronto Film Festival Thursday. “It’s amazing.”

She did however look gorgeous in this icy blue dress she wore during the press conference for her new film Broken Embraces earlier today.

Salma Hayek and Francois-Henri Pinault tied the knot for a second time this weekend in Venice, Italy. The stars were out in full force for the event including Salma’s BFF Penelope Cruz and her boyfriend Javier Bardem, Bono, Charlize Theron, Ashley Judd, and even her ex-boyfriend Ed Norton!

The bride wore a Balenciaga gown by Nicholas Ghesquiere as she walked down the aisle at Venice’s Opera House, La Fenice. Their 19-month-old daughter Valentina was the flower girl along with Francois Henri’s two children from his first marriage, 10-year-old Francois, and 8-year-old Mathilde.

The couple originally got married in a civil ceremony in Paris on Valentines Day.

As expected, “Slumdog Millionaire” cleaned up at the Bafta Awards this evening.  The Danny Boyle hit took home 7 awards including Best Film, Best Director, Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Music, Best Cinemotography, Best Editing, and Best Sound.

Other big winners tonight were Kate Winslet who won the Best Actress BAFTA for her role in the film, “The Reader,” Mickey Rourke won the Best Actor BAFTA for his role in “The Wrestler,” Heath Ledger won the Best Supporting Actor award for his role of the Joker in “The Dark Knight,” and Penelope Cruz took home the Best Supporting Actress award for her role in the Woody Allen film, “Vicky Cristina Barcelona.”

The list of winners seems to be same at all the awards shows lately, so should we expect to see similar winning during the upcoming Oscars?

Penelope Cruz visits Ellen

penelopeoscar4

Classic Spanish beauty Penelope Cruz visited with Ellen today to talk about her role in the Woody Allen flick, “Vicky Cristina Barcelona.” She shares with Ellen her thoughts on her nomination for an Academy Award, how she would feel if Marisa Tomei won, how much she loves doing karaoke (wait till you hear her favorite song to perform!), if she is a good painter or a bad painter, and her and Ellen play a fun game of win, lose, or draw!

Ellen should have made her do karaoke!
