Who says you need to wear a sexy dress in order to heat up a red carpet? Latina beauty Salma Hayek rocked a male-inspired suit and hat to the Puss in Boots 3D UK Premiere at the Empire Leicester Square in London,England on Thursday, November 24th, 2011. Joining her for some feline fun was co-star Antonio Banderas.

As much as I love the androgynous look, I love how this 45-year-old beauty used a feminine scarf in a beautiful shade of green to off-set the testosterone!

What helped make this outfit work perfectly was the fact that the pieces are fitted to her shape. This helps bring heaps of femininity to a traditionally male ensemble.

With colder weather coming in stronger to many parts of the world, this is a great option for upcoming holiday parties and events.

Salma Hayek proud to let daughter Valentina see her in new role

Salma Hayek continued her promotions for her latest project Puss in Boots in The Big Apple this evening. After being spotted by photographers as she made her arrival at The Ed Sullivan Theatre for a special appearance at The Late Show with David Letterman, the Mexican beauty attended a New York screening of the DreamWorks animated film held at The Hearst Tower.

When the mommy-of-one made a stop in Miami to kick-off the promotional tour aboard Royal Caribbean’s Allure of the Seas last week, she told us how proud her daughter Valentina is of her new role as Kitty Softpaws in the Shrek spin-off.

“I am so proud for her to see it,” Salma told us on the red carpet. “She saw it and she loves it!”

She was so sweet she complemented me on my lipstick and was not at all surprised when I told her it was Dusty Rose from the Nuance by Salma Hayek line from CVS! She said the color worked great on me!!

Talk about best day ever….

I briefly asked her co-star Antonio Banderas about the Sony Pictures Zorro prequel based on Isabelle Allende’s book that is currently in the works, because we’d love to see this sexy Spaniard back in the role no matter how small! Sadly told me he is not interested in participating in this film.
