Kelly Clarkson in Australia

clarkson

American Idol winner Kelly Clarkson visited with Aussie chat show host Rove yesterday. The pop singer is currently in Australia for a promotional tour for her new album, “All I Ever Wanted.”

She starts the party off right by attacking a piñata they have on set. Are piñatas different in Oz? We put candy in them and I didn’t see the goodies spill out after she smashed his head off!

She discusses why she enjoys writing sad songs over happy songs, her Rescue Ranch in Texas, and all her pets.

During the “final five” portion of the show she confesses the strangest place she’s been nude, what she would be doing had she not won American Idol, games bored teenagers in Texas play, and she confirms she is not on Twitter.

To close up the show, she sang her latest single “I Do Not Hook Up.”

Performance, I Do Not Hook Up.

russybook9

Poor tired Russell Brand flew all the way to Australia where he has sold out shows nearly every night! You can tell he’s a bit tired during the interview but brings the hilarity none the less.

Russy chats with famous Aussie chat show host Rove about winning “Shagger of the Year Award,” how tough it is for him to travel, going through rehabilitation for a sexual addiction, landing the role in Forgetting Sarah Marshall, and being a gangsta!

One of the funniest guys on television right now Rhys Darby visited with Rove last night in Australia.  I was quite surprised to learn that Rhys and Murray (Manager on Flight of the Conchords) share the same voice and hair.  I thought that was all part of the character!!

He shares a hilarious story about how people really think Murray Hewett is a realy person, The Summer of Murray, working on Yes, Man with Jim Carrey, why he hates Australia, and his nickname in school.

Love, love,love this guy!

Eric Bana is currently visiting his home country of Australia to promote his new movie, Love the Beast. Bana visited with famous Aussie host Rove last night to share his passion for the cars that went into this movie.

He tells Australian newspaper the west he really wants women to love this film.

“It’s the partners, friends and so forth that I’m trying to reach out to with this film,” Bana said.

“I was fairly confident that guys and car lovers would probably really like it.

“But I would not have made the film if I felt like that was the only audience it was for and I don’t think my wife would have let me make the film either.”

If any of you are in Brisbane, you can buy tickets to see this hottie at a special screening where he will do a “Questions & Answer” session on March 4th.  For more information on this event or to buy tickets click here.

I don’t think we will get this film shown here in the U.S., but it does open all over Australia on March 12th.
