Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie cuddle up on the red carpet at the SAG Awards

A total gentleman, Brad Pitt held the vehicle door open for his love Angelina Jolie upon their arrival to the 18th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards held at The Shrine Auditorium this evening. As much as I love watching for Angie on the red carpet, I always hope she wears something other than black.

Yes she looked stunning in Jenny Packham, but I just prefer her in brighter colors. (Remember how beautiful she looked in the ivory and red Atelier Versace gown at the Golden Globes?)

But I digress….

The power couple posed for pictures with best buddy George Clooney and his latest flame, Stacy Keibler (who wore a lace, black Marchesa gown).

Brad and George are competing in the “Outstanding Performance By A Male Actor In A Leading Role” category this evening. Good luck boys!

Toni Collette receives SAG Award nomination

tonicollette

Australian actress Toni Collette is charming all the right people with her depiction of a suburban housewife with Dissociative identity disorder on the Showtime hit, United States of Tara. She was nominated today for a SAG Award and yesterday for a Golden Globe for the role!

Collette surprised audiences when she took home the Emmy for Best Leading Actress in a Comedy in September winning out against 30 Rock star Tina Fey. Though I love Tina, I felt Toni really deserved it for playing Tara and all four of her alternate personalities.

Find out if she wins the Golden Globe on January 17th and the SAG Awards on January 23rd.

The actress and and husband of six years, Dave Galafassi were seen leaving a doctor’s office in Sydney, Australia on December 17, 2009.

Angela Kinsey: Old Hollywood Glam

I’m so upset that “The Office” did not take home any awards this evening at the SAG awards.  It seems that this is the year for “30 Rock.”  The team of Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin are  unstoppable!

I had to post these pictures of “The Office” star Angela Kinsey.  She is sporting this glamorous old Hollywood style that had to be appreciated by all.  Looks like Ed Helms is loving her outfit too!

Slumdog Millionaire wins again!

fp_1837846_rij_sag2009_set1_012509The cast of “Slumdog Millionaire” won for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture at the SAG Awards this evening.

Breakout star Freida Pinto had worked hard and is very surprised with her overnight success.

“I think I have lived through all my dreams in the four months that I worked in the film. A newbie like me could not have expected anything else. Working with Danny Boyle, the director, was a fantastic experience.”

Freida has been nominated for Best Supporting Actress by BAFTA for her portrayal of Latika in “Slumdog Millionaire.”

Next up for “Slumdog Millionaire”………OSCAR GOLD!

Hugh Laurie wins SAG Award

lauriesag2Hugh Laurie won for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Drama Series at the SAG Awards for his work as Dr. Gregory House on the hit ABC show “House.”

I’m so glad the American audience has fallen in love with this brilliant English actor. I just wish he could use his sexy accent on the show. Loves it!

Kate Winslet wins at the SAG Awards!

katesag2If I was up against any awards against Kate Winslet, Tina Fey or Slumdog Millionaire this year I would stay home.  These well deserved actors all cleaning house at all the awards shows.

Tonight isn’t any different.

Kate Winslet just took home the award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role for her role in “The Reader.” I’m so glad she is finally receiving recognition for her brilliant work.

I bet she takes home the award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role for her work on “Revolutionary Road.”
