Recently separated couple Kate Winslet and Sam Mendes showed a united front this morning to escort the children to school. After announcing their split last month, they have not been seen together and I think its so important that they have put their differences aside in order to co-parent.

Kate Winslet catches a movie with her leading man

Kate Winslet is starting off the week with some quality with her son Joe Mendes in New York City. The Academy Award winning actress carried her six year old son to an awaiting car which took the mother/son duo to a local movie theater.

Freida Pinto becoming next Bond girl

Frida Pinto has signed a multi-million pound deal to play the love interest to suave spy James Bond in the 23rd James Bond movie. The film which is set in Afghanistan will be directed by Sam Mendes.

A source said: “Sam has been talking about Bond for months now and is so excited about it. The project has been in the pipeline for months and Freida
was always the dream Bond girl, but initially she was nervous about accepting it. This is going to be the most ambitious 007 yet. Sam plans to reinvent the genre.

House actress Olivia Wilde is rumored to be in talks to play the other lead female role, a double-crossing UN worker based in Afghanistan.

“Peter Morgan, who wrote The Queen, has penned the first draft of the script and it promises to be visually stunning.”

Freida is currently dating her Slumdog Millionaire co-star Dev Patel and he is thrilled his girlfriend was won such a high-profile role.

The source added to the Daily Mirror newspaper: “It will be a typically glamorous and raunchy role and Dev has been joking to friends he is cool with seeing Freida rolling around with 007.”

Freida will star alongside Daniel Craig, who will be reprising his role as Bond once more.

Kate Winslet and Sam Mendes split

Celebrity super couple Kate Winslet and Sam Mendes are publicly announcing that they split earlier this year.

“Kate and Sam are saddened to announce that they separated earlier this year,” said a statement by lawyers Schillings.
“The split is entirely amicable and is by mutual agreement.

“Both parties are fully committed to the future joint parenting of their children. They ask that the media respect the privacy of the family.”

The couple married in a private ceremony in the Caribbean island of Anguilla on May 24th, 2003 and have one son together, Joe Alfie Winslet Mendes. This is her second marriage which has ended in divorce with both her exes being directors.

Kate is absolutely fabulous and I wish her the best. I really thought these two would last forever!

Away We Go Movie Trailer

The Office star John Krasinski stars alongside SNL alum Maya Rudolph in the latest Sam Mendes project entitled, Away We Go. They play a couple who are expecting their first child who travel around the United States to find the perfect place to raise their child.

I’m so mad I did not head out to South Beach while they were filming this here.  I heard the cast was fantastic!

The supporting cast includes Maggie Gyllenhaal, Catherine O’Hara, Allison Janney, Jim Gaffigan, and Jeff Daniels.

Away We Go will hit theaters in limited release on June 5th.
