A face only a mother could love!

Amy Winehouse was in court this week defending herself against allegations she hit dancer Sherene Flash when she approached Amy for a photograph during a charity event last September. Wino stated yeterday at the City of Westminster Magistrates’ Court that she was aggravated and intimidated and just wanted the fan to go away.

“I meant to just get her away from me,” said Winehouse, adding that the incident was much ado about nothing.

District Judge Timothy Workman ruled in Amy’s favor.

The judge said after hearing the evidence, he could not be sure the blow had been deliberate.

“The charge is dismissed and the defendant discharged,” he said.

The newly single star released this statement via her lawyer.

She is “very happy to move on with her life and put the episode behind her.”

Amy Winehouse appeared in court today in her Sunday best, where she pleaded “not guilty” to assault charges against a fan (Sherene Flash) during a high society ball in September 2008.  Who in their right mind invites Amy Winehouse to a “high society ball” anyway?

The case is being adjourned until July 23rd by Judge Timothy Workman.

As Winehouse left the courthouse she was asked how she was feeling.

“I’m all right, thanks,” she replied.
