Dev Patel visits The View

Dev Patel & Freida Pinto @ DGA Awards 1/31/09

Dev Patel & Freida Pinto @ DGA Awards 1/31/09

“Slumdog Millionaire” star Dev Patel visited the ladies of “The View” earlier today. I really love watching his interviews. He really seems like such a down to Earth guy.

He chats about landing the role after Danny Boyle’s daughter saw him in “Skins,” he gives an update on the children from the movie, and he even tries to teach Sherri Sheppard how to perform a Bollywood dance!

Freida Pinto visits Craig Ferguson

“Slumdog Millionaire” star Freida Pinto visited Craig Ferguson this week to chat about the sleeper hit of the year.

I don’t think Craig researched much about Amitabh Bachan. He thought the mega Bollywood actor was the host of “Who wants to be a Millionaire!” He compares Amitabh with Regis Philbin. Oh my…..

The lovely Freida also teaches Craig some Bollywood dance moves.

Slumdog Millionaire wins again!

fp_1837846_rij_sag2009_set1_012509The cast of “Slumdog Millionaire” won for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture at the SAG Awards this evening.

Breakout star Freida Pinto had worked hard and is very surprised with her overnight success.

“I think I have lived through all my dreams in the four months that I worked in the film. A newbie like me could not have expected anything else. Working with Danny Boyle, the director, was a fantastic experience.”

Freida has been nominated for Best Supporting Actress by BAFTA for her portrayal of Latika in “Slumdog Millionaire.”
