World Cup Highlight: David Beckham

David Beckham didn’t let an injury from cheering on his mates at the World Cup. The 35-year-old midfielder who tore his left Achilles’ tendon while playing for AC Milan on March 14th, cheered on the English team in their match against the United States held at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium Rustenburg, South Africa on Saturday, June 12th, 2010.

Bex seems to have been split in his support, much as I was, since his home country team played his Los Angeles Galaxy teammates, Landon Donovan and Edson Buddle.

John Travolta and family make their South African arrival

John Travolta and his glowing wife Kelly Preston made their arrival with their daughter Ella Preston at Lanseria Airport on Thursday, June 10th, 2010 in Johannesburg, South Africa to support the Australian team.

Mommy-to-be Preston proudly showed off her growing baby bump, the family announced the pregnancy on May 18th via their website. I can’t express how happy I am for this family!

David Beckham departs for South Africa

A denim clad David Beckham departed from Los Angeles International Airport yesterday. The sexy soccer star is on his way to South Africa where he will join Charlize Theron who is serving as co-host of Friday’s World Cup draw in Cape Town.

The draw will determine the eight first-round groups and the match order for the 32 teams who will contest the FIFA World Cup from June 11 to July 11, 2010.

Joining Beckham and Theron will be South African President Jacob Zuma, and Nobel Peace laureates Archbishop Desmond Tutu and Frederik W. de Klerk
