Will Ferrell becomes Ron Burgundy again in Anchorman 2 teaser trailer!

Break out your best polyester dress, Ron Burgundy is back in town! Will Ferrell is back in his signature Burgundy suit alongside Champ Kind (David Koechner), Brian Fantana (Paul Rudd) and Brick Tamland (Steve Carell) in a teaser trailer for Anchorman 2 that just hit the net.

I will admit, even though there had been a bunch of confirmations about the film, I didn’t believe it was actually happening until this very moment! And if this video is any indication, Ron and his cronies are back to their silly ways and we can expect hilarity to ensue.

Noticeably missing is Ron’s beloved Veronica Corningstone, played by Christina Applegate. Will she meet a similar end as the many love interests who don’t return in a sequel?

Watch out for Anchorman 2 sometime in 2013.

Jim Carrey gets down and dirty with Steve Carell

Jim Carrey might look like he just got into a tumble, but he is only in costume for his latest film, The Incredible Burt Wonderstone.  The pretty girl by his side is daughter Jane Carrey who has recently dominated headlines for trying out on reality tv show American Idol.  At 24-years-old, Jane has been impressing audiences for as long as daddy Jim can remember and now she did the same for AI judges Jennifer Lopez, Steven Tyler, and Randy Jackson.

I think its great that Jane is trying to make it in music by her own merit and not just for being the daughter of someone so famous!

“The last name definitely helps and hurts,” Jane said on the show. “There’s this pressure to be better because if I make it somewhere, I run the risk of people saying ‘you only got there because of [your name].’ I’m here to make my place in the world.”

Her rendition of Bonnie Raitt’s “Something to Talk About” earned her a spot on the Hollywood stage! I have a feeling she will become the sweetheart of the season with that voice.

Also on set was Jim’s co-tar Steve Carell, who stars as a famous but jaded Vegas magician who fights for relevance after breaking up with his longtime stage partner. Especially after the arrival of Steve Haines (Carrey), a “hip” street magician who starts making waves!

Check out the video below of Jane’s audition on Idol. Do you think she could possibly win the competition?

Steve Carell and Olivia Wilde get down in Vegas

It looks like Steve Carell is embracing his inner George Hamilton! The former bossman from The Office looked super tanned in his matching brown suit on the set of his new movie, Burt Wonderstone. Joining him outside the Bally’s Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada on Tuesday, January 10th, 2012 were co-stars Olivia Wilde and Steve Buscemi.

Carell stars as the title character, a famous but jaded Vegas magician who after breaking up with his longtime stage partner, fights for relevance when Steve Haines (Jim Carrey) a new “hip” street magician appears on the scene.

The film also stars Alan Arkin, James Gandolfini, Jay Mohr, and Brad Garrett.

A major dose of ‘The Office’ scoop!

With September rapidly approaching, the second best time of the year, besides Christmas, is almost here! I’m talkin’ Fall line up, people!

And despite one of my favorite shows, The Office, practically going through a face lift after the departure of Steve Carell as Michael Scott, I have high hopes for what is about to come to Scranton and Dunder Mifflin.

James Spader, to be exact. After his unforgettable appearance on the season finale as Robert California, one of the candidates as a replacement for Scott’s position,  Spader’s character has jumped from manager to CEO!

Actor, writer and executive producer, Paul Lieberstein (aka HR manager Toby Flenderson), recently gushed to The Hollywood Insider on how Spader is fitting in just perfectly with the cast.

“He has a way of taking on his character so fully, even in rehearsal, that it’s changing the mood in the set. Everyone is discovering who they are with this new energy. It’s like the first day of school — you have your old friends, but there are some new classes and new teachers.”

Some other major scoop news that I’m super excited about is 7th Heaven’s Stephen Collins making an appearance as Andy Bernard’s father and E.T. matriarch Dee Wallace, as his mother. I wonder what the visit will entail?

What has made me really start to count down the days is the news of my favorite office couple, Jim (John Krasinski) and Pam (Jenna Fisher) Halpert, having a second child! After Fisher became pregnant with her first child in real life, the writers decided to carry it into the new season that will bring some crazy hormones along with her new baby bump.

Mindy Kaling, who plays Kelly Kapoor and a frequent writer/direct of the show, told E! Online that even though Michael Scott is gone, fans should have nothing to fear with season 8.

“We miss Steve so much, but it’s also kind of energizing the show in a way. All of these other characters get to have bigger parts and so that’s been kind of nice. Because if anything, I hear all of the time how much people like the side characters in the office.”

I second that, Mindy!  A supporting cast is what makes up a great cast, and I think it will develop new and interesting angles for the comedy. As for who I think should be the new manager of the Scranton Branch, I honestly don’t know. Out of the possible candidates, I believe that Dwight (Rainn Wilson) would bring complete madness to the office, including his famous nun-chucks and all, allowing Jim to pull some majorly hilarious pranks that seem to never get old.

Can’t wait until the season premiere on Thursday, September 22 at 9 pm to see all my dreams come true!

‘Crazy, Stupid, Love’ NYC Premiere

The highly anticipated comedy flick, Crazy, Stupid, Love made its NYC premiere last night at the Ziegfield Theater. The A-list cast including handsome fellas Steve Carell and Ryan Gosling along side the very beautiful Emma Stone, Julianne Moore and Marisa Tomei all in attendance. Steve was accompanied by his wife, Nancy, while Julianne brought her son.

Many are now wondering if the undeniable chemistry onscreen between Emma and Ryan has transcended into real life love. The duo appeared very cutesy with each other on the red carpet, Emma even commenting to E! News on Ryan’s “dapper” appearance.

Well if these onscreen lovers are really dating, I’ll be first to high five to this couple!

Keira Knightley brings new boyfriend to work

It’s been months now since her relationship with fellow actor Rupert Friend ended and now it seems that Keira Knightley has found love again.

The British beauty was photographed enjoying a break from shooting her new movie, Seeking A Friend For The End Of The World in Malibu, California on Thursday, May 26th, 2011. Joining her was new boyfriend, Klaxons member James Righton who held hands with the actress and lingered by her side throughout the day.

Also spotted on location was co-star Steve Carell who was being driven around in a golf cart.

The romantic dramedy follows a man who finds himself alone after his wife leaves in a panic after hearing an asteroid is nearing Earth. He decides to take a road trip to reunite with his high school sweetheart. Accompanying him is a neighbor who inadvertently puts a wrench in his plan.

On the Scene: Steve Carell and Keira Knightley

Now that he is done working as the boss man on The Office, Steve Carell has wasted no time in getting back to work on his next project. The comedian teamed up with British actress Keira Knightley to shoot scenes of their new film “Seeking A Friend For the End of the World” in Los Angeles, California on Wednesday, May 18th, 2011.

Now I don’t normally watch “end of the world” type of movies but this romantic dramedy might have enough of all the other qualities I look for in a fun film.

Carell stars as Dodge, a man whose wife leaves him when panic sets in after an asteroid begins to make its way towards Earth. In a surprising turn of events, he hears from his high school sweetheart who wants to meet the end of days by his side. But when his neighbor Penny (Knightley) decides to join him on his journey, love blossoms at the worst possible time.

Sitting in the directors chair is screenwriter Lorene Scafaria in her directorial debut. Focus Features has already signed a distribution deal to bring Seeking A Friend For the End of the World to theaters in 2012.
