Bruce Willis has teamed up with Touchstone Pictures to play an FBI agent in this science fiction thriller investigating the murder of a college student.
The victim is linked to the man who helped create a high-tech surrogate phenomenon that allows people to purchase unflawed robotic versions of themselves – fit, good looking remotely controlled machines that ultimately assume their life roles – enabling people to experience life vicariously from the comfort and safety of their own homes. The murder spawns a quest for answers: in a world of masks, who’s real and who can you trust?
Directed by Jonathan Mostow. Bruce Willis stars alongside Radha Mitchell, Rosamund Pike, James Francis Ginty, Boris Kodjoe and Ving Rhames.
First-time author Robert Venditti came up with the unique premise while working at Top Shelf Publications in Atlanta. The publisher is known for issuing sophisticated, contemporary graphic novels and comics by artists of singular vision. Jonathan Mostow previously directed the hit films “Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines” and “U-571.”
The movie looks awesome. You can sell anything to me by throwing Mr Willis into the mix, but with this intriguing story line and fantastic cast. I predict this being a huge hit.
The Surrogate is due for release September 25.
