Jason Wu for Target is here at last!

On the heels of a hugely successful collection with Italian fashion brand Missoni, Target is ready to unleash their latest collaboration with Jason Wu!

I must admit, I have been holding my breath in anticipation to see what this very special line was going to look like. By his own admission, Wu told the New York Times he was looking to create something totally different than his regular collection.

“My goal was not to duplicate anything from my main collection… Instead I designed completely new clothes and accessories that reflect my taste and have a voice of their own.”

He totally succeeding in doing such while still keeping the spirit of Jason Wu in tact. One of my favorite trends from the images are the adorable penny loafers and the girly white socks! I don’t know that at the ripe old age of “30 something” I will be able to carry-off such a look but it will look really cute on tweens and 20-somethings.

Another favorite is the color palette he used. What better way to liven up your dreary winter wardrobe in preparation for spring?

This limited collection will be available from February 5th to March 6th and prices will range from $19.99 to $59.99 for clothing and $19.99 to $49.99 for accessories.

I just hope the big red retailer is much better prepared than with Missoni! You can bet the Jason Wu collection is going to sell out just as quick.

Missoni for Target: Gotta Have It!

Would it be tacky to re-do my entire house and closet in Missoni for Target? I’m sure this was the idea when the brands decided to collaborate in such an extensive collection! If I wasn’t worried about not getting my hands on nearly everything shown in the latest preview, I’d have thrown out all my dishes, laptop case, throw, and even my bike!

This morning a tweet went out that immediately grabbed my attention since I’ve been dying to get a better idea of what items would be featured come September. The message linked to a Tumblr account titled, All The Way Up Here and it’s author Marina is apparently a doll…no literally!

I’m little Marina and I’m a real doll. That’s right, joints, hinges and all. And like every doll, I’m obsessed with everything stylish in the world. So that’s what my blog is all about. I hope you enjoy the view.

I even want the expresso cup set and I don’t drink coffee!

Here is the first ad that was released:

The entire collection (over 400 items!) will make its debut in Target’s across the U.S. on September 13th, just in time for my birthday! For those of you attending New York Fashion Week, you will get a special preview one week before it hits stores.

Of course it also includes dresses, scarves, ties, and even an adorable baby jumper that with some modification, I might be able to fit on my dog Peetie! Prices will range from $7.99 to $199.99.

“Family is as important to us as zigzags and colors,” Margherita Missoni said of her role in the campaign. “It makes sense that someone within the family will be the face of the brand.”

Now I need to work out which local store will have the best stuff and the shortest line!

Taylor Swift teams up with Target

The “Purple One” is betting on the “Red One”!

Prince has announced that he will release a three-CD set exclusively through major US retailer Target later this month.

The package will contain the Purple One’s new studio albums ‘LOtUSFLOW3R’ and ‘MPLSoUND’ as well as the album ‘Elixer’ by his new protégé Bria Valente. They are set to be released on March 29 and will be sold for $11.98.

Prince is defintely in my Top 5 of Super Bowl Halftime performances ever, and it’s great to see he’s still putting out music. Unfortunately, he hasn’t been able to duplicate his success of the 80′s and early 90′s. Although he’s still one of the  greatest artists of all time, it puzzles me why artists like him, Stevie Wonder, and others who are so talented can’t seem to break back into the upper eschelon of Top 40 radio and record sales. If we are graced with the presence of an advanced copy, we’ll certainly get back to you on what to expect from this new album. As for this Bria Valente person, it sounds like something I had on my sandwich today for lunch, so I make no promises there.
