Get ready to sink your teeth into The Vampire Diaries again!

You know that scene from Jurassic Park, guys?

Where the little plastic cup of water starts to vibrate as the T Rex thunders closer, about to make its first appearance in the movie and leave everyone terrified of ever visiting a theme-park toilet again? Well, I sort of feel like that’s how the internet is right now — silently poised, just waiting for the return of The Vampire Diaries who have most definitely been the Dinosaur for the CW network as far as pulling ratings goes.

Now that the countdown is down to mere hours before The Return broadcasts, sneak previews and spoiler bits are popping up left and right online, such as the teaser Zap2It’s Carina MacKenzie posted wherein she [Read more...]

This is why I love Netflix…

Up until now, I have been a casual Netflix user. I depended on them every week for my new releases and the such but I don’t think it was a site I visited everyday…….

UNTIL NOW!

Let me preface this post by saying, I was not given anything from Netflix for writing this post. I am just so overjoyed with this new service that I felt I had to share it with the world!

Recently the rental-by-mail dvd service added the feature of streaming video via Nintendo Wii. Previously the streaming function was available on my computer but as I type all day on it,  I rarely have time to watch full movies or television programs [Read more...]

Not Going Out CANCELLED!

not

For those that already know me and for those of you that don’t, I am obsessed with British television!  Though it had been on for 3 seasons, I only JUST started getting into this quirky little sitcom, Not Going Out.

I was suspicious when a new episode did not get released last Friday and today I found out the horrible news that BBC has canceled it!  Truly sad day for television.

Co-Writer Andrew Collins wrote on his blog: BBC1 have indeed cancelled the award-winning sitcom Not Going Out. This is very sad news, and something of a surprise, as we went out with our highest ever audience figure for the last show, Marriage*, and critics seem to have been much kinder to the third series. Plus, we’d run in some new writers and I personally think it was a strong series. Who understands TV controllers? Not me. It all comes down to numbers in the end, even though the BBC is a publicly funded broadcaster and thus not reliant on advertising revenue and thus not really in the ratings game to the degree where, like American broadcasters, it cancels shows that aren’t performing to a set of made-up targets. But that’s what’s happened: over three series, despite the ratings gradually going up, show by show, and series by series, it still hasn’t rung the requisite bell.

Andrew confirmed there is one more episode, the 8th episode of Season 3 that won’t probably be shown until Christmas.

Cleveland Rocks! …for Kanye West anyways.

Kanye West has received high praise for his comic timing while recording a guest spot as the less-than-stellar rapper Kenny West in the forthcoming”Family Guy” spin-off,”The Cleveland Show”.

West’s first foray into animated comedy as rapper Kenny West will feature in an episode of the new sitcom alongside Oscar-nominated fellow guest-star Taraji P. Henson.

@ NY Daily News

No doubt that amongst Peter, Stewie and Brian, Cleveland is one of my favorite characters on Family Guy and is certainly deserving of his own show. There is no doubt I will enjoy it as much as FG, and maybe even more than American Dad. We’ll see how Kanye’s performance goes. Most guest stars are very obvious and seem out of place (Simpsons), but according to the article, they’d love for him to be a regular on the show.

Big round of applause for @JamesKysonLee wrapped for the season! ” I’m gonna have a drink with all of you!” http://twitpic.com/22hyj

@JamesProps

Again, this is one of the many reasons Rosy and I are hooked on Twitter. There are two members of the crew from our favorite TV show Heroes which post pretty often about their adventures on set and with the cast members. JamesProps is a set master on the show, and wendilynnmakeup is the make up artist for the cast members. They are both great Tweeters, and I hope they bring them back for the next season! Heroes is in the process of wrapping up their third season, which has turn out to be a pretty good one. Here we see a very candid Ando (James Kyson Lee) in his final scene shot for the season.

Jimmy Fallon “slow jams” into his first Late Night!

In case you were completely pissed off at The Bachelor last night and took it out on your TV, NBC debuted Late Night with Jimmy Fallon on NBC. I always liked Jimmy Fallon on SNL, but wasn’t really sure if I was going to like what he brought to a Late Night show. To sum it up, he was visibly nervous throughout the entire show, but played it like a guy who was confident with what he was working with. Looking back, I don’t know that he should’ve started with a A-lister like DeNiro, although it looks great on paper. It was a tough interview, and Jimmy looked like he was swinging too hard for the fences on his first at-bat. Definitely awkward. The Justin Timberlake interview on the other hand, seemed like 2 buds hanging out, reminiscing about past times, until they get to the point where they’re catching up on what’s going on and realize they don’t really have much to talk about. Although the lineup for this show was great, neither guest had anything to actually talk about. Not good. Overall, I think Jimmy is going to do a great job and is certainly headed in the right direction.

The highlight of last night’s show for me was the last part of his monologue called “Slow Jam the News”. Having The Roots for this bit made it perfect and left me looking forward to the next one. Enjoy.
