Simon Baker sneaks in a cuddle

It will take more than a little rain to keep devoted dad and husband Simon Baker from supporting his son during a soccer match earlier today. The star of The Mentalist and his wife Rebecca Rigg had a quick cuddle after being caught in a torrential downpour in Santa Monica, California.

Great news for fans of the CBS crime drama and Heroes fans alike emerged this week. Malcom McDowell, who played baddy Linderman on Heroes, is going to guest star alongside Baker on an upcoming episode.

Simon Baker catches a wave

Simon Baker fans are going to be loving me tonight. Check out these hunky shots of the Australian sensation as he catches a wave in Santa Monica, California early this morning!

He picked an awesome location to go boarding. You can see the famous Santa Monica Pier in the background.

When describing the studly star from The Mentalist I think Nicole Kidman said it best during

“Give it up for Simon Baker,” Keith Urban and his wife crooned during G’Day Day 2010 “A guy’s guy, a girl’s heartbreaker. He’s a sexy babymaker, and secretly a laptop screensaver.”

You can catch Baker this Sunday during the Grammy Awards where he will be a presenter.

Simon Baker is a chatty Mentalist

Simon Baker was feeling communicative on the set of The Mentalist today. The Australian actor took a call in between scenes of the CBS crime drama filming in Los Angeles.

Broadway veteran Aunjanue Ellis was recently added to this already fabulous cast. She landed the recurring role as the new head of the California Bureau of Investigation. She will come in after the resignation of the unit’s former chief, Virgil Minelli, played by Gregory Itzin.

Her debut is tentatively set for April.

On the Scene: The Mentalist

Simon Baker, Owain Yeoman, and Tim Kang were busy on the “Suicide Bridge” in Pasadena, California filming scenes of the CBS hit The Mentalist earlier today.

The bridge is rumored to be haunted by the souls who have committed suicide on the bridge. They have been seen walking around and heard making sounds but it doesn’t seem like these boys were bothered one bit.

Season 2 of The Mentalist returns to tv on September 24th.

Simon Baker visits Ellen

Simon chats about the cute puppy he rescued named “Happy,” becoming a United States citizen, and his 15-year-old daughter Stella.

Ellen plays the best games! In this one she helps quiz Simon with all American things to help him become a citizen.
