After representing the United States in South Africa during the 2010 World Cup, soccer star Landon Donovan is kicking off of media tour in New York City. The twenty eight year old L.A. Galaxy player faced off with David Letterman outside the Late Show studios this afternoon.
Donovan, who kicked in a sweet goal during the 91st minute of the USA vs. Algeria game and scored the team’s lone goal against Ghana had this to say during his interview:

Just because footballer David Beckham is injured and can’t partake of the 2010 FIFA World Cup, he is making the most of his time in South Africa. As you may have witnessed during England’s match yesterday, two members of the Royal Family were in attendance.
Prince William and Prince Harry cheered for their home country from the stands and were no doubt as disappointed as I was with the final score.

David Beckham didn’t let an injury from cheering on his mates at the World Cup. The 35-year-old midfielder who tore his left Achilles’ tendon while playing for AC Milan on March 14th, cheered on the English team in their match against the United States held at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium Rustenburg, South Africa on Saturday, June 12th, 2010.
Bex seems to have been split in his support, much as I was, since his home country team played his Los Angeles Galaxy teammates, Landon Donovan and Edson Buddle.
