Zoe Saldana and Dania Ramirez keep it colorful at the Alma Awards

The stars are shining tonight in California!! Latina beauties Zoe Saldana and Dania Ramirez were photographed arriving at the 2012 NCLR ALMA Awards held at Pasadena Civic Auditorium on Sunday, September 16th, 2012.

I love that both Zoe (in Gucci) and Dania opted to wear a splash of color for such an exciting event!  Both ladies kept it classy with floor length gowns that showed just enough cleavage to keep the spectators and photographers on point.  They also wore similar hairstyles swept back into low chignons.

The Dominican stunners (well mostly Dominican! Zoe is also half Puerto Rican!) served as presenters during this evenings telecast hosted by comedian George Lopez and former Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria.

Zoe Saldana and Joan Smalls: Latinas at the CFDA Awards

Two of my favorite fellow Latinas are being considered “best dressed” on many websites this morning! Zoe Saldana and Joan Smalls rocked the red carpet at the 2012 CFDA Fashion Awards held at Alice Tully Hall on Monday, June 4th, 2012 in New York City. Both ladies appeared on the arms of lauded fashion designers — Zoe with Prabal Gurung and Joan with Michael Kors.

Saldana, who owes her enviable figure to her past as a ballet dancer and kick-ass movies roles in films Colombiana and The Losers, looked stunning in a floor-length black gown with sheer cut-outs by Gurung himself.

Puerto Rican beauty Joan Smalls showed off her runway bod in a white dress which looked fabulous with her tan skin tone. Even designer Michael Kors seemed to be floored by how beautiful she looked!

Gorgeous supermodel Joan Smalls rocking my white tank gown at the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) Awards, Kors wrote via Facebook. What a knockout!

So proud of these ladies for keeping Latinas in the forefront!

People en Español counts Sofia Vergara and William Levy amongst the “50 Most Beautiful”

It’s that time of year again when People en Español releases their yearly list of “50 Most Beautiful Hispanic Celebrities.” There are a lot of familiar faces on there, including Ricky Martin (rocking an adorable little mustache on the cover), Jencarlos Canela, Zoe Saldana, Salma Hayek, Daddy Yankee, and Dancing with the Stars hunk William Levy amongst others.

As you can expect, Modern Family star and CoverGirl spokesperson Sofia Vergara is making her 7th appearance on the list while Mexican singing sensation Thalia broke records with her ninth appearance in the issue. Zoe Saldana covers debut issue of Cosmo for Latinas!

This project has been in the works for some time so it is finally my sincere pleasure to share with you, images from the debut issue of Cosmopolitan for Latinas! From the fabulous folks who bring you the highly popular Cosmopolitan on a monthly basis, you can now get your Latina-specific editions twice a year with the premier issue hitting newsstands May 1st.

“Cosmopolitan for Latinas is the definitive voice of today’s bilingual Latina who is sexy, stylish and intelligent, and wants to see herself reflected in the pages of a women’s lifestyle magazine,” said Editor-In-Chief Michelle Herrera-Mulligan. “We talk to our readers like a best Latina girlfriend, and cover everything from fashion, food, relationships and careers in a fresh and engaging way.”

The beautiful Zoe Saldana was chosen as their first cover model–who better to represent the Latin-American woman than her right?! She was photographed by Yu Tsai and is wearing a low-cut halter jumper from Bebe.

During the interview, the Colombiana and Avatar star talked about being a Latina.

“People think of Latina women as being fiery and fierce, which is usually true. But I think the quality that so many Latinas possess is strength. I’m very proud to have Latin blood.”

She also discussed her time as a ballerina during her teenage years.

“I had to quit ballet because it felt like a part of me was dying inside. It takes a lot of courage to face up to things you can’t do because we feed ourselves so much denial…In dance, you use every part of your body except your voice. I wanted to start acting because I wanted to use my voice.”

This chica has literally kissed nearly everyone of my dream men including Michael Vartan, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Zachary Quinto, and Sam Worthington (though it was really her avatar who kissed him but lets not get technical!). I want to be jealous but I just can’t because I love her!

Bradley Cooper and Zoe Saldana keep their distance at Sundance

If you didn’t know any better, you’d think Bradley Cooper and Zoe Saldana had no fire burning between them. But since we all know better its pretty cute to see them trying to keep their distance while promoting their new film!

The pretty pair were joined by co-star Dennis Quaid (who acted like a buffer by sitting between them during a press conference) for the movie, The Words at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah on Thursday, January 26th, 2012.

The plot is a bit confusing to explain ( /Film calls it “Inception with stories instead of dreams”) so I rather give you the one NYMag.com used. “Dennis Quaid is a successful author who woos Olivia Wilde with his new book about … wannabe author Bradley Cooper, who (along with wife Zoe Saldana) literally stumbles upon an amazing, forgotten story that he passes off as his own … even though it was really written by Jeremy Irons, who penned it and lost it decades ago (when he was played by Ben Barnes).”

Read it again and you will understand it!

With Zoe playing hunky Bradley’s love interest, it’s no wonder they are hot-and-heavy in real life!  Love this couple!

Zoe Saldana keeps the colored jeans trend on fire!

It looks like the biggest trend of the fall/winter season has been the colored jeans! They have been spotted on many celebrities including Amanda Seyfried, and Giuliana Rancic who told The Fashion Spot, “I love colored jeans. I think it’s important to wear some color, especially in the winter when we have a tendency to dress really dark. A pop of color is so fun.”

Latina beauty Zoe Saldana is the latest star to be rockin’ the look in a pair of blue jeggings, white top, a gray cardigan and a favorite pair of black wedges. She was photographed looking effortlessly beautiful as she departed from Gelson’s Market in Beverly Hills, California on Wednesday, January 4th, 2012.

Rumors that she is dating co-star (and current ‘Sexiest Man Alive’) Bradley Cooper have bee spreading across the web like fire! The pair were caught in a sensuous lip-lock during a scene of their latest film, The Words which has many tongues wagging! (including mine!)

So are they or aren’t they? No reports seems to be 100% certain but time will tell if they are ready to step out into the spotlight as one of the sexiest couples alive!

Zoe Saldana and Natalia Jimenez dazzle at the Latin Grammy Awards

Proving that fashion is more fun when you add a bit of color, Zoe Saldana and Natalia Jimenez hit the green carpet at the 12th Annual Latin GRAMMY Awards held at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino on Thursday, November 10th, 2011 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Latin ladies stepped out in jewel toned dresses, one of the hottest trends of the season!

Natalia is getting a lot of love from the cameras and is quickly becoming a red carpet favorite. I’ve got my eye on you!

Both Zoe and Natalia served as presenters during tonights telecast. My favorite was when the Avatar star joined host Lucero and Colombian beauty Sofia Vergara for a funny bilingual bit!

Zoe has been tweeting like mad about how excited she is to be a part of such an entertaining evening. She even confessing to being a little starstruck!
